2000A practice begins in Amman.
Abdullah Al-Smadi founded the firm in Amman in 2000 as a focused legal practice · a single office built on a simple commitment: rigorous work, applied with the same care to every matter that crossed the desk.
From the first mandates, the standard that would come to define the firm was already in place. The objective was never volume, but the quality of analysis and the directness of engagement brought to each client.
2008Range, drawn from the work itself.
Through the accumulating demands of client work, the practice extended steadily beyond its original focus. Corporate and commercial matters drew in disputes; disputes drew in enforcement; each new discipline was earned, not acquired.
This was deliberate growth. The firm widened only where its clients led it, building genuine capability in each area rather than assembling a roster of services it could not stand behind.
2014Trusted with the consequential.
By the middle of its second decade, the firm was advising institutions, commercial enterprises, and individuals alike · often on the matters that mattered most to them, carried from first analysis through to resolution.
Discretion was assumed rather than advertised. The relationship between lawyer and client settled into one of practical trust, with the client's objective driving the work at every stage.
2019Reach, through referral.
As clients' affairs increasingly crossed jurisdictions, the firm established referral partnerships in Iraq and the United Arab Emirates · coordinated legal capability beyond Jordan, managed from a single relationship in Amman.
These were partnerships, never branches. The firm carried cross-border matters through to their conclusion without ever diluting the single standard of work that defined it at home.
2023Breadth as identity.
The firm now spans a full range of legal disciplines · corporate law, dispute resolution, enforcement, intellectual property, employment, infrastructure, and more · each one the record of work actually handled across the preceding years.
No single specialisation defines it. What defines it is simpler: a client can bring any matter through the same door, and it will be met with the same standard of work.
2026Twenty-six years, and continuing.
More than a quarter century on from a single Amman office, the firm carries twenty-six years of continuous practice into the present · the same commitment to rigour, the same directness, now across a far wider field.
The work continues to the standard it began with. Every client, every matter, the full measure of the firm's attention · regardless of the size of the mandate.
